This assembly came off my own chainsaw. Just prior to the flywheel shaft cracking and my parting out chainsaw. Much cheaper and easier than trying to replace the starter cord itself. Purchased new in 2017.

Just unbolt your current starter housing assembly and replace with this one. Look at photos closely and I'll answer questions prior to purchase. Compare to purchasing just the recoil starter housing part # 753-08504 on Official Craftsman parts web page.
